Women Game Jam is an international game jam with the 2021 edition being an online game jam. Zambia will be participating for the first time.
About this event
Women Game Jam is a game development marathon where participants are challenged to plan and create a digital or analog game, based on a theme that remains secret until the beginning of the event. This kind of event offers the ideal environment to learn, create a portfolio, and strenghten under-represented gamedev communities.
This year, due to the spread of Covid 19, the Women Game Jam will be hosted online. The theme will be announced on the first day of the event and all groups will have 10 days (from the 21st to the 30th August) to create a game inspired by the theme. Zambia’s event will take place from the 21st to the 22nd August 2021 with online workshops hosted from the 16th to the 19th August 2021.
